Why build a lab when the lab can come to you? Colin’s mobile science lab is packed with hands-on experiments, LEGO technic builds, and paper construction projects—proving that real science isn’t about fancy equipment, it’s about curiosity, creativity, and exploration. This session has two sections: Paper Tower Building Challenge Ages 6–9 🕒 10am–Noon How tall can you go? In this playful, fast-paced workshop, kids will use just paper and tape to build the tallest towers they can. With each round, they'll test their ideas, see what holds up (and what doesn’t), and improve their designs as they go. It’s all about experimentation, problem-solving, and a little friendly competition. LEGO Technic: Motorize It! Ages 10–16 🕒 Noon–2pm Ready to level up your LEGO skills? In this hands-on workshop, students will design and build their very first motorized, wheeled vehicle using LEGO Technic. With just the right mix of guidance and freedom, young builders will explore engineering concepts, problem-solve in real time, and discover what happens when creativity meets motion. INSTRUCTOR Colin Beere is a certified teacher who has taught globally from forest schools to main stream environments. As a result of his experiences, he has realized the value in alternative learning and wants to capture those opportunities alongside his love for teaching STEM. He tailors his classes to accommodate all ages.
